Habitat : Usually found over gravel or coarse sand with clear, cool water, of which shore is typically forested or richly vegetated. Spawns into a couple of species of freshwater mussels that are sympatric to this fish.
Range: Endemic to South Korea(Han River Drainage).
Threats : Sewage from livestock farmlands and small towns. Siltation also is one of the main threats to populations of most habitats.
Revetment constructions, dredging, and illegal overfishing by aquarium hobbyists and collectors are also threatening.
Conservation action : Artificial breeding and raising has recently been succeeded by National Fisheries Research and Development Institute.
