Habitat : Lethenteron reissneri is a land-locked type of lamprey like many other non-parasitic Brook Lampreys. Adults are found on gravel or cobble-bottomed riffles with moderate to low current and 3 to 100 m wide, and runs less than 1m deep. The shore tends to be richly vegetated or forested. Ammocoetes live in mud or sand-bottomed pool, feeding organic matters deposited in substrate.
Range: Native to Northeast Asia: Russian Far East, North Korea, South Korea, Japan and Heilongjiang River drainages in northeastern China and eastern Mongolia.
Threats : Dredging, sewage, polluted sediment, mines, quarries, and revetment construnctions for flood control are main threats.
Conservation action : No report on protective measurements.
