Habitat: Coarse sand and gravel bottomed riffles with low to fast current. Also found in large dam lakes. Feeds on invertebrates, frogs, and fish.

Range: Endemic to South Korea. Introduced to the Nakdong River.

Remarks:  A popular food and aquarium fish.
