Habitat: Gravel and rocky bottomed riffles with moderate to torrential current. Feeds on benthic invertebrates and algae.

Range: Endemic to South Korea(Nakdong River). Introduced to East Sea slope of Gyeongsang-do provinces(Wangpi River and Taehwa River).

Remarks: A popular food fish in mountainous regions of the Southern Gyeongsangnam province. Also, locally a popular aquarium fish.
