Habitat: Mud, coarse sand, and gravel bottomed riffles or pools connected to large rivers or lakes with low to moderate cureent. Feeds mainly on benthic invertebrates.

Range: Native to Northeast Asia:  Russian Far East, western North Korea, western South Korea, northeastern China.
