 Habitat:  Seemingly prefers shallow, small rivers with gravel and coarse sand bottom and moderate to fast current.  The shore is typically vegetated. Feeds mainly on benthic invertebrates.

  Range:  Endemic to South Korea (west to Hampyeong county and east to Sooncheon county in Jeollanam Province).

  Remarks:  This species contains a great number of morphological variation across its range.
