Habitat: Various conditions of bottom. Usually spring runs, headwaters, small creeks, pools, lagoons, drains and rice paddies in mountainous region. Feeds on invertebrates and plants.

Range: Native to Northeast Asia: Russian Far East, eastern North Korea, northeastern South Korea, northeastern Japan, northeastern China.
