  Habitat:  Middle to lower reaches of large river and its tributaries with moderate to slow current.  Habitats usually richly vegetated over sand, gravel bottom. Feeds mainly on small invertebrates and plant materials.

  Range:  Korean endemic subspecies.  One another subspecies occurs in the western Japan.
