Habitat: Coarse sand, gravel, and rocky bottomed river with moderate to fast current and low water temperature. The lowest air temperature recorded in January across all of this species' habitats in South Korea are ranged -36C(-32.8F) to -20C(-4F). Feeds on invertebrates and plants.
Range: Northeast Asia: Russian Far East, North Korea, South Korea.
Remarks: Cold-water fish. The Han River system is the species' southernmost distridution range.
