Habitat: Gravel, boulder, and rocky bottomed large riffle with moderate to fast current. Feeds mainly on benthic invertebrates.

Range: Endemic to Korean Peninsula(Anbyunnamdae, Yesung, and Imjin River systems in North Korea, Yellow Sea slope and South Sea slope in South Korea). Introduced to East Sea slope in South Korea.

Remarks: A popular aquarium fish in South Korea.
