Takifugu niphobles

 

Habitat: Amphidromous. Tidal creeks, pools, lagoons, and rivers with corse sand and gravel bottom and low to moderate current. Seems to prefer warm, clear, and vegetated waters. Feeds on invertebrates, crabs, snails, and fish.

Range: Native to the Northeast Asia: North Korea, South Korea, Japan.

Remarks: Strongly toxic, especially guts and skin.
