 Habitat:  Near shore of estuary, tidal creek and pool with slow current to still water and mud, fine sand bottom. Young fish are often found in small creek and rice paddy drain connected directly to tidal mud flat or estuary of large river. Feeds mainly on small invertebrates.

  Range:  Native to: South Korea(Yellow Sea and South Sea coast), western and southern Japan, eastern China, Taiwan, and northern Vietnam.
