Habitat: Sand and gravel bottomed and richly vegetated rivers, lakes, and drains with low to moderate current. Feeds on planktons and invertebrates.

Range: Korean Peninsula(Yellow Sea slope and South Sea slope) and western Japan.

Remarks: As well as the other bitterlings, A.lanceolatus spawns in freshwater mussel.
