141. Repomucenus olidus
(6cm)

Habitat: Lower reaches or estuary of large rivers with silt or fine sand bottom. Seemingly prefers to swim over sandy shore with moderate current. Feeds mainly on benthic invertebrates.
Range: This species has been found in northeastern China and South Korea (Han River, Keum River and Dongjin River).
Remarks: The habitat of this species is limited to sandy shore of large rivers. Therefore, this species might be vulnerable to environmental alteration in lower reach of river such as dredging, channelizing, and revetment construction. Also, there are several sites near Seoul that are suffering from overfishing by aquarium hobbyists.
