Lateolabrax japonicus

 

Habitat: Usually inhabits bays and beach. In estuary or lower reach of rivers, sand and gravel bottomed areas with low to moderate current . Seems to prefer marine water and deep and clear waters than L.maculatus does. Feeds on invertebrates and fish. Amphidrimous.

Range: Native to: the Yellow Sea coast(North Korea, South Korea, northeastern China) and the East China Sea coast(southwestern Japan, Taiwan, northern Vietnam).

Remarks: A popular food and game fish in South Korea.
