 Habitat: Sand, mud bottomed and richly vegetated rivers and lakes with low to moderate current. Feeds on planktons and invertebrates.

 Range: R.pseudosericeus has been known as endemic species to the Han River drainage.

 Remarks: As well as the other bitterlings, R. pseudosericeus spawns in freshwater mussel. The species is in great need of protection, since its limited habitats are closer to Seoul Metropolitan Area and overfishing by aquarium hobbyists is frequently occured.
